Happy birthday! Today I’m celebrating something that I’m not sure I ever truly believed I’d be celebrating: the first birthday of my debut book, Hope Amid the Pain. Sure, I’ve wanted to be a writer for almost as long as I can remember, but things didn’t quite happen as I expected. I was never able to see the full picture … but God sure did. And He brought it to fruition on October 26, 2021.
If you’ve read my book, then you know how significant October 26th is to me in relation to my journey with chronic pain and illness. I know it was no coincidence that He used that same date to show something good out of what happened to me on October 26, 1994. So much has happened in the past year (and most, perhaps all, of it were things that had never been on my radar!). It’s been amazing to see how God is using the book to reach others who need that reminder that they’re not alone and that they can still live a hope-filled life because He is with them! I’m excited to see what He has planned for the future.
