Happy November – Link-up with A Chronic Voice

Welcome to November!

A Linkup Party with A Chronic Voice

I’ve recently started participating in the link-up party with A Chronic Voice, where we are given monthly writing prompts for a blog post.

It’s a chance to connect with other chronic illness bloggers. I’m excited and honored to have the opportunity to reflect on and write about the prompts Sheryl provides. Here is the link with all the details if you would like to take part yourself.  This month’s prompts are: IncorporatingExperimentingSanitizingLaunching, and Writing.

Incorporating:   I’ve been incorporating new routines to increase my writing time. In between work, it’s sometimes hard to add in time to work on my own manuscript. For 2021, I’ll be incorporating a new blog schedule, which I’m starting to work on now. I recently had some testing done, including a food sensitivities test. Based on those results, I’m incorporating some dietary changes. So far, it’s going okay.

Experimenting:   In addition to incorporating some dietary changes, I’m also experimenting with recipes, what to eliminate and cut back on, etc. The hope is that, in doing so, I’ll notice a reduction in my pain and symptoms. So far, that hasn’t been the case. In fact, I’ve had some new symptoms appear. I’m still experimenting, trying to figure out the source.

I’m currently doing research on promotions for my book, which will be released in 2021. I’m looking into various marketing strategies, which I’ll be experimenting with in 2021.

Sanitizing:  I’m pretty sure everyone is sanitizing this year! I’ve always been a bit of a germaphobe and clean freak, so my sanitizing practices were there prior to 2020, though they have been beefed up (and with the occasional ramp-ups in my anxiety, there were some increases in the sanitizing). I’ve also done some sanitizing on my social media accounts. The world is already filled with enough negativity. I don’t need to see even more when I hop online.

Launching: I’m not doing a lot of launching at the moment, but I plan to be launching my devotional journal in 2021. I did some launching earlier in 2020, from new positions (such as adding copywriter to my resume, along with new editing and proofreading positions with publishers such as Harlequin/Love Inspired) to a new focus on my blog.

Writing:  I have a number of writing plans and goals for 2021. I’m looking into guest posting opportunities, and I have a few book ideas. I just need to narrow my focus down and choose one to start on. And, as I mentioned in sanitizing, I’ve been writing off some negativity this year. I suspect that will carry over into the new year.

So, that’s it for my link-up party blog post. Thanks for sticking with me. I hope you are staying healthy and doing well. To those of you celebrating Thanksgiving this month, I hope you have a blessed day.

If you’d like to check out the other bloggers for this month’s linkup, you can do so over at A Chronic Voice.
