Hope-Filled Sunday!
Happy Sunday! Here’s some encouragement for your week.
From the moment we wake up in the morning until the moment we go to bed, we are programmed by society to be on the go. And for some, those overnight hours may not be all that restful, either. Our hectic schedules make it challenging to find a few moments of peace and quiet throughout our days.
Psalm 46:10 is one of my favorite Bible verses. In a way, it’s ironic, because I’m definitely one of those people who have little quiet time during the day … and thanks to chronic pain, the nights are usually anything but still and restful. However, I long for the quiet and stillness that this verse mentions.
When we are constantly on the go, it's hard to even notice God at work in our lives. Share on X In order to do that, we must make time to “be still.” Doing so isn’t always easy, and it certainly takes practice, but it is important in deepening our relationship with our Father. He desires to talk to us, and He’s waiting for us to give Him a chance to do so. So this week, try and make it a point to find that quiet time during the day (or night), and know that He is God.
Lord, help me to push aside the busyness and noise and make time to listen for Your still, small voice. Amen.
