Hope-Filled Sunday!
Happy Sunday! Here’s some encouragement for your week.
What would you say to someone if they told you that you were beyond compare? Would you look at them as though they were crazy, or would you believe what they said was the truth? (Hint: It’s #2!)
These days, with the prevalence of social media, it’s all too easy to compare ourselves (and our lives, in general), to others. Doing so can make us feel less about ourselves and make us overlook the many blessings and unique qualities we bring to this world. Here’s something you need to remember: God created only one you! That fact should cause you to rejoice, not compare yourself to anyone else. If God had wanted you to be just like someone else, to have the same personality or ability or accomplishments as them, then He would’ve made you them … not you!
The enemy loves when we fall into the comparison trap. It sets us up for unrealistic expectations, makes us doubt ourselves, and tells us we’re not (and may never be) good enough. The enemy is working against us, and we must make a conscious decision to resist him.
Never forget that God is for you! Share on X There is no one else who can do what He created you to do. You are an original, so avoid the comparison trap. You are beyond compare!
Lord, thank You for the reminder that You made me just as I am for a reason, and You don’t want (or need) me to be like anyone else. Amen.
