Hope-filled Sunday!

Happy Sunday! Here’s another verse from my devotional book.

This verse is sometimes misinterpreted. James isn’t telling us that we should be happy about every situation we encounter in life. That’s unrealistic. James knew that, and so does Jesus. However, no matter the situation we are in, we can still be joyful. Our joy is not linked to life’s circumstances.

For Christians, true joy is found in Jesus. Life’s trials—such as anxiety, fear, finances, and chronic pain and illness—will try to steal that joy. Yet nothing we encounter is beyond God’s control, and today’s verse is a perfect reminder of that. So turn to God in the difficult times, not just the easy one. Trust Him and find your strength in Him. Allow Him to be your joy, no matter the trials you face.

Lord, help me remember to turn to You when I face trials and count it all joy. Amen.

Have a blessed day. Gentle hugs to all of you. ?
