Hope-filled Sunday!

HOPE Amid the Pain header

Happy Sunday! Here’s another verse from my devotional book.

Where do you find refreshment? Reading a good book, relaxing on the beach, or taking a nature walk? All of these options are helpful and can be enjoyable. However, for people with chronic pain and illness, these simple activities may bring increased pain instead of refreshment.

There is one activity that can bring refreshment, no matter who you are. It can even cut through the pain, at times. What is that? Spending quiet time with the Lord. There are a variety of ways to do this, but they are all beneficial … to your body and mind.

Take a few moments today to quiet yourself and listen for what God has to say. Share on X Let Him give you peace and refreshment.

Have a blessed day. Gentle hugs to all of you. ?

  1. I tried to “like” your post, but am having issues so I thought a comment might be good too! I love getting lost in a good book (especially on a beach!). But I know my only true refreshment can come from Jesus. ? Great message today! Thank you for sharing it!

    • Thanks, Rochelle. I’m not sure why it wasn’t letting you “like” it, but I’m glad you left the comment.

I agree that it’s great to get lost in books, but nothing refreshes like the Lord! Have a blessed day.
