Hope-filled Sunday!
Happy Sunday! Here’s another verse from my devotional book.
Life doesn’t always go as planned. You had everything planned … except for a flat tire, a pain flare-up that made getting out of bed challenging, or overwhelming fatigue. And, as a result, your perfectly planned day is no more.
It’s easy to get upset or down on yourself when plans fall through, as we tend to focus on the moment. Thankfully, God sees the big picture. Perhaps that detour that added thirty minutes to your commute also prevented you from being part of a five-car accident.
When we change our perspective, things look a bit different. Instead of focusing on what didn’t go as planned, think about what you did accomplish, such as the fact that you woke up to see a new day.
“God is able” to bless us abundantly. Just because He didn’t give you all you anticipated for the day doesn’t mean that the day was any less of a blessing. God’s gifts doesn’t depend on our pain level or completed to-do list.
God will give you what you need to get through the day or even the next moment. Share on XAnd it will all take place in His perfect timing, not ours.
Lord, thank You for the small blessings I may overlook and for providing all I need each and every day. Amen.
