Hope-Filled Sunday!
Happy Sunday! Here’s some encouragement for your week.
What’s the largest thing you can envision? A mountain? A dinosaur? Can you picture it clearly in your mind’s eye? When we do this, or when we see pictures or replicas of these items, they can make us feel so tiny. It may be hard to fathom that anything could be larger.
Today’s verse mentions a powerful creature called “Behemoth.” It was an animal that had a tail the size of a tree trunk and bones like iron pipes. Nothing seemed to bother him. Nothing could tame him—except his Creator (Job 40:19).
Job went through a time when his problems cast a huge shadow over his life. During that time, God reminded Job of the fact that He could manage Behemoth. Job was blinded by his grief and frustration, and it caused him to question God. (Friend, do you ever do the same thing? I know I do!) However, God’s answer reminded Job to put things in perspective. God was bigger than all of Job’s problems, and He could handle things that Job couldn’t manage on his own. And just as God did for Job, He can (and will) do for us! As it states in Job 42:2, “I know that you can do all things.”
So when you’re battling your own Behemoth, keep this is mind: God is bigger than any problem you will encounter in life. Share on X
Lord, I believe You re more than capable of helping me get through what I’m facing today. Amen.
