Hope-filled Sunday!

HOPE Amid the Pain header

Happy Sunday! Here’s another verse from my devotional book.

Do you ever long for the “good ol’ days”? Most people do, at some point in time. For those living with chronic pain and illness, it’s generally a longing for a time prior to their illness … as that’s a life no one tends to envision. That diagnosis often  leaves one feeling broken and less than. Certainly not what they’d signed up for.

Paul wrote today’s verse. He knew all about the “good ol’ days,” but he also learned how to be content. He knew it wasn’t found in life’s circumstances. True contentment can only be found one place: in Jesus. Share on X

Christians aren’t guaranteed a pain-free or trouble-free life. Those are inevitable. But they are guaranteed that they won’t be left to go through life alone. Setbacks can only steal our joy if we allow them to do so. So don’t let them! Look to the Lord. He will be with you every step of the way, and you can always find contentment in that truth.

Have a blessed day. Gentle hugs to all of you. ?
