Hope-filled Sunday!

HOPE Amid the Pain header

Happy Sunday! Here’s some encouragement for your week.

Ephesians4:31 NIV

Wow! This verse is pretty clear about how we’re supposed to respond, isn’t it? I don’t know about you, but it’s something I’m not always good about doing. And I often ask myself why that is. Sadly, I have never come up with a great answer.

It’s crazy that we all too often choose to hang on to negative feelings, attitudes, hurts, and behaviors. We stew on things and allow them to fester. And when they do, our pain and stress and frustration increase. That causes harm … to ourselves, and no one else. We often decide to cling to baggage that is no longer ours to carry.

When we get angry or hurt, letting go may feel like the last activity we want to do. Share on X But that’s exactly what the Lord is telling us to do. And it’s possible with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, help me to heed this verse and let go of harmful behaviors and attitudes so that what I say and do is pleasing to You. Amen.

Have a blessed day. Gentle hugs to all of you. ?
