Hope-Filled Sunday!
Happy Sunday! Here’s some encouragement for your week.
I don’t know about you, but I sure find it helpful (especially over the past few years) to have something to look forward to. And now that we’re in December, that something to look forward to is one of the most important things we could ever find to anticipate:Â Jesus, who is the reason for the Christmas season!
However, the hope found in Jesus, and at Christmastime, isn’t only found in December.
It's important to live a life filled with hope: to expect with confidence. Share on X Hope is the anticipation of something good happening. There are many examples of this in the Bible, such as Abraham, who hoped against hope. In his case, it looked like there was no reason to be hopeful. Our lives can feel that way at times, too. Circumstances may not be what we’d like them to be. They may seem bleak. But if you look beyond the moment and reflect on what God’s done in the past, as well as what God’s Word says, you’ll find that it’s still possible to live a hope-filled life. God’s been faithful in the past, and there’s no reason to believe He will not be faithful and fulfill His promises in the future.
Thank You, Lord, that I don’t have to wait for my circumstances to change to have hope for the future You have lined up for me. Amen.
