Hope-filled Sunday!
Happy Sunday! Here’s some encouragement for your week.
Years ago, I was at a large publishing conference in a city I’ve never been to before. I heard someone calling my name from down the hall. I couldn’t imagine who would know me. I’d only attended one other conference, and there were so many people in attendance. How could someone possibly recognize little ol’ me? I turned around and followed the sound of my name. Imagine my surprise to see a friend I hadn’t seen in a few years. We had kind of lost touch, except through social media. Yet, sure enough, she hadn’t forgotten about me. I’d been anxious about not knowing anyone at the conference, and my fears immediately disappeared at the unexpected appearance of a friend.
Have you ever ran into a friend you haven’t seen in years? Did you wonder if they’d remember you and welcome you back with open arms? Or did you consider that they may have forgotten you? With the Lord, you don't ever have to question whether or not He remembers you. The Lord knows your name! Share on X
In today’s society, it’s all too easy to feel unknown, unseen, or unappreciated. While that may be true by society’s standards, thankfully, it’s not how God works. You are precious to Him. That promise in today’s verse was true for the Israelites, and it’s true for us as well. He knows us. He sees us. When we wander, He calls us back by name. He loves us.
Lord, thank You that You see me and know me. When I stray, you call me by name. It’s such a blessing to be Your child. Amen.
Have a blessed day. Gentle hugs to all of you. ?
