Hope-filled Sunday!
Happy Sunday! Here’s another verse from my devotional book.
I’m not a patient person. I don’t think I ever have been. My mind thinks that my body needs to be on the go, and it’s hard for me to sit still and wait patiently. These actions are in sharp contrast to what my chronic pain and illness are telling me.Â
David tells us to wait patiently for the Lord. As humans, we spend a lot of time waiting. And for those of us living with a chronic illness, even more patience and waiting is required, as it can take years to receive a diagnosis, find an effective treatment, etc. It’s difficult to wait, especially when you’re waiting numerous years for healing.Â
Impatience doesn’t make God move any faster. It just makes us more anxious and stressed out.God has His own timeline. Our fretting won't change that. His timing and plans are perfect. Share on XAsk Him for the patience needed to get through the next moment or the next day. Then wait on the next steps from Him. Trust in His timetable.Â
