Hope-Filled Sunday!
Happy Sunday! Here’s some encouragement for your week.
One of my favorite worship songs is “Walk by Faith” by Jeremy Camp. It really hits the Christian life on the mark, as we are called to believe and trust that God has a plan … even when we can’t see it. We put our confidence in Him, even when we may not feel Him. Lately, I’ve needed this reminder to walk by faith every single day.
Everyone has difficulties in life. And lately (at least for me, and perhaps you can relate), it seems like the hits are coming one after another with barely a pause in between. I’m extremely thankful for verses such as Hebrews 11:1, and other ones, that remind me God has a plan, and He is with me … even when I have doubts.
Verses such as the following list are key for remembering to trust God more than our circumstances. To believe that He has been there in the past, and He will be there in the present and future, too.Â
2 Corinthians 5:7: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Mark 9:23: “Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe? All things are possible for one who believes.”
Matthew 17:20: “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
James 1:3: “Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
Lord, my trust is in You. I believe You are faithful and are working on my behalf. Amen.
