Life with Chronic Pain and Illness
For some time, I’ve been sharing Life with Chronic Pain and Illness posts on my Instagram page (www.instagram.com/hopeamidthepain). These are tips that people, particularly those living with chronic pain and illness, may find helpful. I decided to start sharing them here on my blog, as well.
Many of us spend way too much time worrying about what others think of us. Share on X And if you’re someone who lives with chronic pain and illness, that is likely even more true. I learned years ago that unless someone lives with pain and/or illness, it’s hard for them to truly grasp the concept of having a chronic (note: always there!) condition. It may not be that they don’t want to understand, but that they just can’t fully “get it.”
Don’t waste your energy worrying what others things. Instead of wasting your spoons trying to get someone to understand, it’s best to spend that energy on taking care of yourself. Do things that will ease the pain, reduce the stress, or bring a bit of happiness to your day.
I hope you have a blessed, low-pain day.Â
