Life with Chronic Pain and Illness

Life with chronic pain and illness is hard—physically and emotionally—so it's important to remind yourself (as often as needed!) who God says you are. Share on XToday, I wanted to take time to remind you of that, as well.

You Are…

  • Beautiful—Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV): He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
  • Amazing—Psalm 139:14 (NIV): I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
  • Victorious—Romans 8:37 (NIV): No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
  • Capable—Mark 10:27 (NIV): Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
  • Created—Genesis 1:31 (NIV): God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.
  • Strong—Philippians 4:13 (NIV): I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
  • Chosen—1 Thessalonians 1:4 (NIV): For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you.
  • Never Alone—Matthew 28:20 (NIV): “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
  • Enough—2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV): But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
  • Always Loved—Romans 8:38-39 (NIV): For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I hope you have a low-pain day.
