Welcome to Thankful Thursday: His Encouragement.

Thankful Thursday

I am blessed to be part of a group of bloggers who’ll be sharing a bit of encouragement through Scripture verses. I hope this post blesses you as you finish the week and that you find peace, strength, and comfort in the Lord.

Exodus 4:10

I’m continuing my series of sharing two verses from each book of the Bible. This month, I’m featuring Exodus.

I understand what Moses was saying in today’s verse. Do you? Though I used to be a teacher, I’ve never enjoyed speaking in front of others. Even now, I always overthink things. I need to learn what Moses needed to learn. All he was asked to do was show up — and God would do the rest. The same is true for us.

Moses was a noted leader. He had witnessed miracles firsthand. Yet he still faltered — still struggled in his calling. Moses tried to make excuses. They didn’t work. and they won’t work for us, either.

God had plans for Moses — ones that only Moses could fulfill. The same is true today for us. God has plans for you and me, and He will see us through. We just need to trust and let God work through us. Share on X

That’s a great scripture you picked Leslie!
Every morning , my husband, son and I have been reading a portion of Psalm 119. So many wonderful “gold nuggets” in that Psalms.

    • Thanks, Jean. I’m glad you liked it. I’m enjoying picking a couple verses form each book to highlight.

Yes, Psalm 119 is a great verse.
