Welcome to Thankful Thursday: His Encouragement.

Thankful Thursday

I am blessed to be part of a group of bloggers who’ll be sharing a bit of encouragement through Scripture verses. I hope this post blesses you as you finish the week and that you find peace, strength, and comfort in the Lord.

This post wraps up my month on the book of Exodus.

Exodus 15:13

Life is filled with challenging situations. Some may seem insurmountable … and they may be if we try to handle and battle them on our own.

Moses and the Israelites knew what it was like struggle. Today’s verse are lyrics the Israelites sang to the Lord after He delivered them from the Egyptian army that was pursuing them. He brought them safely through, and they rejoiced. They kept their eyes on the Lord. The Israelites knew He would keep His promises because His love never fails. God was faithful to the Israelites, and He will be faithful to us, too — His beloved people. Share on X

I like what you wrote: Life is filled with challenging situations. Some may seem insurmountable … and they may be if we try to handle and battle them on our own.

A scripture that came to mind is: Be still and know that I am God. I’m paraphrasing it, and I can’t think of the scripture reference. We need to just sit back and let God fight our battles! I know it’s hard.

    • Thanks, Jean.

Ah, that would be Ps. 46:10. I love that verse! And, it’s a reminder I need … regularly! (In fact, many times the verses I write about are reminders I need, and I figure others do, too!)

  2. So much we can learn from the interaction of the Israelites and the Lord! Love your perspective on this verse!
