Welcome to Thankful Thursday: His Encouragement.

I am blessed to be part of a group of bloggers who’ll be sharing a bit of encouragement through Scripture verses. I hope this post blesses you as you finish the week and that you find peace, strength, and comfort in the Lord.

Today, I’m sharing a devotion about 1 Samuel 2:2.

1 Samuel 2:2 NIV

In 1 Samuel 2, we encounter Hannah, a strong woman of faith. She’s praying and waiting on the Lord to see her prayers fulfilled. The Lord does just that, and she doesn’t forget to thank Him for His faithfulness. She praised God for His holiness, pointing out how there is no one else like Him. She acknowledges that He’s her strength and source of security (her “Rock”).

That’s not just true for Hannah. It’s true for us, as well, friends. There is no other person we can always count on to be there with us through all of life’s trials, as well as joys. And like Hannah, we should never delay in proclaiming God’s greatness and holiness. Our Lord is beyond compare. Share on X

“Lord, help us to show others who You are to us. Help us to be a reflection of You and make You the center of everything we say and do.”
