Welcome to Thankful Thursday: His Encouragement.
I am blessed to be part of a group of bloggers who’ll be sharing a bit of encouragement through Scripture verses. I hope this post blesses you as you finish the week and that you find peace, strength, and comfort in the Lord.
Today, I’m sharing a devotion about 1 Kings 4:29-30.
God gave Solomon great wisdom. That wisdom was beyond anything, such as the sand on the shore. He was greater than those from the “East” and even Egypt, where people were known for their wisdom. People would travel from far away to seek counsel from King Solomon.
This wisdom is a testament of God’s faithfulness in keeping His promises. He blessed King Solomon with more than he could’ve imagined.
God is gracious, and He gives graciously to those who call on Him. It’s up to each individual as to how they will use those gifts: for good or evil. Solomon had been using his gifts for good, until the fame and power got the better of him.
How do you use your God-given gifts? To glorify Him and build up others? To tear others down? Or do you store them away for yourself? Pray that God shows you how He wants you to use your gifts. Share on X
