Thankful Thursday: His Encouragement #9

Posted March 5, 2020 by Leslie in Words of Hope / 4 Comments

Welcome to Thankful Thursday: His Encouragement. I am blessed to be part of a group of bloggers who’ll be sharing a bit of encouragement through Scripture verses. I hope this post blesses you as you finish the week and that you find peace, strength, and comfort in the Lord.

Isaiah 43:1

I read this verse earlier this week, and it’s stuck with me ever since. It’s truly amazing to know that Jesus knows ME! He knows my name. He knows my fears. He knows my hopes and dreams. He knows my strengths and weaknesses … and He still loves me. He calls me His.

In a world where many people feel overlooked, forgotten, fearful, or marginalized, this verse is a powerful reminder. In today’s society, it’s easy to be afraid, for many reasons, but Isaiah reminds us that there’s no need to hold onto that fear.

Jesus knows you. He sees you. He redeemed you. He summoned you. You are His.

You can turn your fears over to Jesus.

Jesus knows you. He sees you. He redeemed you. He summoned you. You are His. Share on X

In the devotional book I’m currently reading, the author quoted this verse also and my mind is “blown away” every time I think about it because my human brain can’t comprehend that God chose me and loved me before I was even conceived. I try to remind myself when I fail (sin) that if Jesus loves me, then I can love me too.

    • Danielle,

It is truly hard to fathom. I understand what you’re saying, as I’m quite hard on myself at times. It’s not easy to see ourselves through His eyes, is it?
