Hope-Filled Sunday!
Happy Sunday! Here’s some encouragement for your week.
That’s not fair! How many times have you heard (or even said) that in your life? I’d guess quite a few times. I know I sure have. We feel this way about many situations, from a sick loved one, to a loss, or even getting passed over for something we’re qualified for and believe we deserve.
Sadly, there’s a difficult truth we must learn as humans: Nobody ever said life was fair. Share on XIf it was, then Jesus (who never sinned!) wouldn’t have had to die for us. He made the choice to do so, and He didn’t let the “unfair” situation deter Him. And He didn’t let it come between Him and His Father.Â
We can learn to do the same thing. We can examine all the “unfair” situations in life, and then we can turn them over to the Lord, acknowledging that while it may not seem fair, it’s not going to destroy our relationship with Him. Those circumstances won’t keep us from trusting and praising Him, knowing that everything we experience is part of God’s plan. Through everything, the Lord is still good.
Lord, thank You that even when things seem totally unfair, I can trust that You will use them and work things out for good. Amen.
