Tuesday Tip
Today’s Tuesday Tip is beneficial for your mental health, whether or not you live with chronic pain and illness: Comparison steals our joy!
I’m sure we all know that’s it’s not a good idea to compare ourselves to others. Yet we do it anyway. Right? I know I still do at times (far more than I like to admit) … particularly on the flare-up days. It’s all too easy to look at someone (especially on social media) and see all that they’re doing (pain-free, of course!) and compare that to the number of things I didn’t get checked off my to-do list for the day. But comparing ourselves to others never leads to anything positive. Instead, it fires up our insecurities, and we end up feeling worse (and likely in more pain) than we did beforehand.
I know it’s not always easy, but try to remember that God created you just as you are for a reason. If He wanted you to be something else, He would’ve made you someone else. You are created in His image, and that’s enough. You’re enough, just as you are!
Don't let comparison steal your joy. Share on X Be you, and be joyful that the One who knows you the best loves you just as you are. And that’s certainly something to be joyful about!
I hope you have a blessed, low-pain day.
