Tuesday Tip
Today’s Tuesday Tip is an important reminder for everyone: Find a hobby you can do and enjoy doing!
Distractions are a coping skill everyone uses in life, and they're particularly key to those who live with chronic pain and illness. Share on X Hobbies are one positive, and distracting, outlet. Thankfully, there are many to choose from. In many cases, people (myself included!) may be hesitant to try something new. However, you never know what you may find … and it just may be the one thing that refocuses your mind, gives you a little peace and calm, for a short time (or longer!).
Over the past year, I’ve had to do this. Hobbies I have enjoyed for years are no longer possible or cause increased pain. As you can imagine, this has been frustrating, and it’s still a work in progress for me to find new things to try. One such hobby I now enjoy is doing jigsaw puzzles … though they can be frustrating in their own way, on occasion 😉
Have you found new hobbies to enjoy, or is this something you need to work on as well? Feel free to share your hobbies in the comments. Maybe you’ll help someone else find a new activity to engage in (and maybe they’ll give you ideas, as well).Â
Have a blessed, low-pain day.

I was just thinking about this during my morning run that something is missing from my life–creativity. I need to find a new art activity to help me feel like I used to when I was writing for work-for-hire projects.
Glad you were thinking of how you could add this to your daily life. I hope you’re able to find something creative soon.
