Tuesday Tip
When you’re in the middle of the flare-up, it’s easy for your thoughts to spiral out of control and for fear to take over. However, if you stop and think about it, it’s quite likely you’ll realize that every flare-up you’ve had up to this point did end. Sure, it may have lasted longer than usual (and certainly longer than you wanted!), but it was temporary. Even though they may feel like it at the time, flare-ups will not last forever. Share on X
So when a flare-up hits, try to find a way to distract your mind to prevent the spiral. You may want o take a nap, read, bingewatch a favorite show, listen to music, find comfort from a pet, take a bath or shower, or chat with a trusted friend or loved one. All of these can help shift your focus until the flare-up subsides. And no matter which option you choose, be sure to remember that God is still in control. Trust Him to see you through the flare-up, as He promises to always be with us. (See Bible verses such as Matthew 28:20 and Deuteronomy 31:6.) Focus on getting through the moment, and trust God to handle the rest.
I hope you have a blessed, low-pain day (but if you’re not, I hope the above post helps you get through the day).
