Tuesday Tip
Today’s Tuesday Tip is one that is helpful for everyone, and it’s particularly important for those of us with chronic pain and illness. (And it’s one that’s not always easy to do. Remembering this is still a work in progress for me.)
If you’re anything like me, you have a long to-do list and you push yourself to check off as many items as possible (even on the not-so-good days). It’s important to remind yourself that an unfinished list is totally fine! It’s okay to pace yourself and slow down when needed. Delegate and plan ahead when possible. When you do less, you may actually find that you’re doing more–at least when it comes to helping yourself and your pain and stress levels.
So pause, take a breath, and LOOK UP! Send up a prayer. Then slow your breathing. Slow your thinking. Slow your pace. Allow yourself to slow down. Give yourself grace, particularly on the flare-up days. I hope you have a low-pain day.
