Tuesday Tip

Today’s Tuesday Tip is one that’s not always possible or easy to do, but it’s something that can be helpful: Keep Track of Your Triggers.

While some causes of our flare-ups are beyond our control, such as the weather, there are often triggers that we may be able to do something about to help lessen their impact on us (physically and emotionally). Here are a few common triggers that may be within our control. Take a look at them and see if any resonate with you. Then, when possible, think about how you can reduce or eliminate them from your life. Will this automatically “cure” you? No. However, I've found that if I can make a couple simple changes that reduce my pain even a marginal amount for a short period of time, it's a win! Share on X

  • weather (which includes pressure changes, rain, sun, etc)
  • stress
  • lack of sleep
  • smoking
  • poor posture
  • trauma (physical or emotional)
  • grief
  • unhealthy food choices
  • social media
  • vitamin deficiencies
  • improper lifting of objects
  • genetics
  • improper shoes
  • an underlying condition that may still be undiagnosed

These are just a few. As you can seem, there are some that we can’t do anything about, but that’s not the case for everything on the list. Are there any triggers you’ve noticed that you can add to this list?

I hope you have a blessed, low-pain day.
