Tuesday Tip

Today’s Tuesday Tip is one everyone should remember: You Are Worthy!

We live in a society that values productivity. How much you do is often associated with how successful you are. When you live with chronic pain and illness, the to-do lists often go unfinished, instead getting longer and longer with things we need to do or would like to do. It’s pushed aside when we pause to catch our breath, grab a quick nap, or just be still for a few moments in order to conserve our spoons (energy). One glance at that list would have some people saying that our day was anything but productive. But that’s not even close to the truth.

Even when you don’t feel like it or society tries to tell you otherwise, you are worthy! On days when the negative voices in your head tell you that you’re a burden. You’re not. You are worthy! God’s Word says in Psalm 139:13-14 (NLT):

13You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.

Learning to view ourselves, and our day, through God’s lens vs society’s can take practice, but it’s a task that is certainly worth our time.

I hope you have a blessed, low-pain day.
