Today’s Tuesday Tip is a good one for everyone to remember: Struggling doesn't mean you're failing! Click To Tweet

Life is full of struggles, and when you live with chronic pain and illness, those struggles are with your own body, as well as with external forces. For most people, struggling often has a very negative connotation. However, struggling doesn’t mean you’re failing. In fact, it’s just the opposite. When you go through struggles, and come out on the other side, they’re a reminder that you’re still fighting. You’re still here. You still have a purpose.

No one looks forward to struggles, but it’s guaranteed we’ll encounter them many times in life. In fact, John 16:33 states:

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (NIV)

The wonderful thing is that during the struggles, we aren’t alone. The Lord is with us. And those struggles are a reminder that He’s not finished with us yet. He still has a wonderful purpose for us. We just need to hold on, and hold on to Him.

I hope you have a blessed, low-pain day.

  1. Thank you Leslie. Just as I was finishing reading this, the song came on, In Christ Alone. It was like God was giving me that strength I need for today. (I have Christian songs as my wake up alarm, though I was already awake today) God knew I needed this today!
