My review…
This is the second book in the series, but it could be read as a standalone.
The author has crafted a heartwarming tale with realistic characters and relatable struggles. I liked how Dixie has asthma–something I don’t recall ever seeing in another Amish-themed novel. I don’t think I’ve ever read one with an auctioneer, either. Gideon’s battle to find himself after life throws him a curveball in encouraging. Themes of love, loss, and discovering God’s plan for your life are key.
If you’re a fan of Amish fiction or sweet romances (especially ones where the romance angle isn’t overpowering), this is a great book to check out!
