Blurb…

Could a shared love for little Honor
unite their reluctant hearts?

Nothing will stop Ryker Hayes from giving his neglected five-year-old niece the stable home he never had. But to gain custody, he must move to Colorado…and prove to Honor’s wary foster mother, Charlie Brightwood, he’s more than just responsible. As his visits with Honor and Charlie begin to feel more like family time, might Charlie become another reason to stick around for good?

Excerpt…

“I’m not denying that Ryker’s a nice guy. I’m impressed with what he’s willing to do and give up for Honor. To take care of her. I respect that. But I don’t see why you have to be so involved in all of this. Just seems like you’re going to get hurt. Either by something he does or by losing the girl.”

Charlie grabbed a broom and began sweeping up construction debris, relocating it to the corner. The place wouldn’t be put together for a while, but doing something, anything, made her feel better. “Hurt is part of existing. People make mistakes and mess things up. I get your concern. I do. But there’s not much I can change about the situation. Ryker and I are connected now, whether we want to be or not. Honor is a tie between us.”

Finn’s concern registered in two lines that split his brow. “I get that. Just…be careful.” She forced a smile, but it was like lifting a slab of granite with her pinkie finger.

“Always.” Shouldn’t he be supporting her decisions like she had for him over the years? Why couldn’t Finn trust her? And God? Charlie wasn’t in this alone. She’d gone to the source many, many times regarding Ryker. The last thing she needed right now was doubt. Something Finn had just buried her under like Honor dumping sand with her new truck.

Well Leslie, you did it again; you showcased a new author for me! Thank you! ?
Just knowing this book has a foster child in the story catches my interest. I guess because I was a foster child but I was placed in a loving home and was adopted! And I also fostered 3 children and I also adopted my son.
I wish the book was out now because I’m going to Wal-mart today. Lol.

    • You’re welcome 🙂

That’s awesome that you have such a connection to the story. Sounds like this will be a great book for you. Good luck!

And also I liked the info about Jill, as soon as I read that she is an avid fan of thrift stores, I knew I loved her!
Jill, if you ever come to Jacksonville FL, I’ll take you to the BEST thrift store here. ?

I think I will love the POV character and the setting of this book.

I like that it’s about a 5 year old little girl needing a family and the uncle who steps up to do that maybe finding love and faith along the way. Very cute cover. Thanks for the chance.

    • You’re very welcome. I agree. It sounds like a great book, and the cover is adorable.

      Good luck, Lynn!

Oh that cover! I imagine that little Honor is a sweetheart, and I will enjoy how love for her eventually brings about another love with a HEA.

I would like to see how the story shows that two different people both have one little girls best interests at heart and how they deal with the situation.
