I’m excited to share about the She Reads Truth Spiral-Bound Notetaking Bible (5 volumes). I recently had the honor of reviewing one of the volumes (The New Testament). Here’s a bit of background info from the publisher:
Since 2012, the global She Reads Truth community has been opening their Bibles together every day with the desire to know God and His Word. Born out of this same mission, the She Reads Truth Spiral-Bound Notetaking Bible (5 volumes) seeks to help you read and understand Scripture for yourself. Featuring an easy-to-read inductive layout with generous space, wide margins for notes and journaling, and a spiral-bound binding that lays flat, these unique notetaking Bible volumes invite every woman to count herself among the She Reads Truth (SRT) community of “Women in the Word of God every day.” The New Testament volume includes every book of the New Testament—from Matthew to Revelation.

My review…
Every few years I like to change the Bible translation that I am using during my devotional time. So I was excited to have the chance to check out this notetaking Bible. I only have the New Testament version, but there are four other volumes to have the complete Bible.
First off, the covers are very sturdy, as is the ring binding. I love that it lays flat. This Bible, like many others, is a bit too heavy for me to hold up to read, but because of the sturdy covers and ring binding, I am able to easily prop it up against a stack of books on my desk so that I can easily read it.
The volume begins with an introduction to the Christian Standard Bible, along with key abbreviations used in this translation. There is also a page that gives tips on how to read the New Testament and the various sections, which includes Gospels, Church History, Pauline Epistles, General Epistles, and Apocalyptic.
Each book of the Bible contains an introduction that gives cultural and geographical information that helps readers see how the book fits into the Bible overall. There is an outline for each book, along with a key verse and graphic. A reading log is also included where readers can note the date that each book of the Bible was studied. Each book also begins with a timeline, a little background, a message and purpose for the book, and a section that gives thanks for key points in that book of the Bible. Some books contain a map while others have key characteristics or timelines for that particular book.
While I do wish the font was a bit larger than 10-point, which may be a bit small for some readers, I do appreciate the generous spacing and ample lines on each page for journaling. One thing to note is that there could perhaps be some ghosting depending upon what writing instrument is used to take notes. There are also some blank pages at the end of the Bible where one could take additional notes or perhaps include their own illustrations.
Overall, this is a lovely Bible. It would definitely be too cumbersome to have it all as one large Bible, and the publishers have done a wonderful job of breaking this down into more manageable sections.
