Tuesday Tip: Ask for help, and take breaks as needed

Tuesday Tip

For some time, I’ve been sharing Tuesday Tip posts on my Instagram page (www.instagram.com/hopeamidthepain). These are tips that people, particularly those living with chronic pain and illness, may find helpful. I decided to start sharing them here on my blog, as well.

Today’s tip is important at holiday times, but it’s something to remember throughout the year, too.
I know that many of us hate asking for help, but it is something we all need to do at times. If you are fortunate enough to have family or friends nearby, don’t feel like you’ll be a burden if you ask them for help. Try to see it as an opportunity to spend more quality time with your loved one. One option to consider to cut down holiday stress could be a potluck meal, which would decrease the amount of food you have to prepare. Look over you to-do list and see what else you may be able to delegate. Asking for help will make it easier for you to take breaks as needed.
I hope you have a blessed, and low-pain, day.
