Tuesday Tip: We Are Extremely Adaptable

Tuesday Tip

For  today’s Tuesday Tip, I wanted to share this reminder.

I certainly never grew up expecting to live a life of chronic pain and illness. I’m sure you didn’t either.

Chronic pain and illness has certainly changed the way that I do things, as well as the way that I view things. But that is not necessarily a bad thing.

When I was younger, there were many things that I would do that I never even gave a thought to doing, but that has not been the case over the past 30 years. And it has made me very grateful for what I am still able to do, even if it’s not in the way that I could once do it.

Those of us with chronic pain and illness are very adaptable, though it may not be our first choice to be that way. It’s important to never forget that if we are still here, God still has a plan for us.

I am working on remembering this fact. I’ll admit that some days are easier than others. And I know I can trust God to give me the guidance and strength to do what I need to do and what He’s calling me to do.

I hope you have a low-pain day and that you take time to rest, if you need it.
